WebOnSwing reuse Swing/JFC technology to provide a common application environment for desktop and web applications.

Swing GUI components is included in JDK distribution so you dont have to install anything to make it run.

You may found a lot of documentation of Swing in the web, there are many tutorials from Sun and other companies, for example at: SUN SWING TUTORIAL

And also there are a lot of third party components and layout managers that could be re used for web applications too. Take a look at: SUN SWING SIGHTINGS

* Note that some component may not run directly because of html limitations or the specific component web renderer does not implement all features of original component.

The set of renderers that WebOnSwing provides until now is enough to create as complex web applications as any other web framework. We hope that in a near future with our efforts and comunity contributions reach a complete set of renderers with all components features implemented.
